As part of the iLAND: iLAB residency, Fantasic Futures is holding a day of listening, walking, and mapping at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, NY. We will explore and engage with the historical and present moments of the park. The activities for the day are designed to further our inquiries into the way the park's past still influence its identity today, and how a recognition of these failed utopian projects might shed some light on our present moment of hurried and highly problematic economic development in that area.
